Boys XC wins Rick Weinheimer Classic, topping a talented field. Girls fourth.

September 7, 2025 - Twenty-two teams competed in the Varsity AA division of the Rick Weinheimer Cross Country Classic, hosted by Columbus North, on Saturday, September 6, including some of the top programs in the state. The Bull Dog boys finished ahead of Indiana’s top-ranked (and tenth-ranked nationally) Noblesville Millers to claim the team title with 42 points. Noblesville (53) was followed by Bloomington North (66). Yorktown (146) was a distant fourth. Denton Sluder (shown) finished fourth individually in the 196-competitor race in 14:57.22. Jace Works finished seventh, and Justin Reckers and Joseph Day finished ninth and tenth respectively. The Bull Dogs had seven of the top 14 finishers in the 5000m race. In the girls division, Tristan Works finished 16th, Emma Lowther 18th, and Kodi Smith 20th as the Dogs finished in fourth place with 123 team points. Milford (OH) won the team title with 100 points, followed by Floyd Central (104), Noblesville (122), and the Bull Dogs. Edgewood High School (182) was a distant fifth.
