Dogs run well at Franklin Community Invitational

September 1, 2025 - The Bull Dogs girls cross county team cruised to the team title at Saturday’s Franklin Community Invitational, and the boys finished a close second to highly-ranked Center Grove. In the girls’ division, Emma Lowther led the Dogs with a seventh-place finish among 205 competitors, finishing the course in 19:21.3. Other Bull Dogs scoring points toward the team score included Kodi Smith (9th), Tristan Works (12th), Ainsley Sherlock (14th), Adira Sluder (16th), Rendy Zhong (20th), and Hazel Sasse (22nd). The Bull Dogs’ 58 team points easily topped second place Center Grove (107) and third place Greenwood (152) in the 16-team event. Center Grove won the boys’ division with 48 points, with North finishing second (53) and Covington Catholic a distant third (99). Joseph Day won the boys event in 15:34, with the following Dogs also contributing to the team score: Logan Vanzant (4th), Rohan Norris (7th), Drew Hoeflinger (20th), Garrett Perfetto (21st), Zaid Warsi (28th), and Jackson Schneider (37th).
