August 12, 2025 - Perry Meridian slipped by Columbus North 241-244 in girls golf at Harrison Lake Country Club on Monday afternoon as head coach Alexandria Weisheit made her debut in her new role. Weisheit was an assistant on Scott Seavers’ staff last year, and Seaver retired from coaching after 18 seasons following the 2024 season. Harper Andresen (shown) led the Bull Dogs with a nine-hole score of 55, followed by Pia Mantooth (60), Caroline Crawford (62), and Sophia Wills (67). Also competing for the Bull Dogs, but scores not counting toward the team total was Bryn Emmitt, who carded a 69. Weisheit takes over a young squad with only one returning varsity player and no seniors on the roster. Following the match, Weisheit commented, “I hope the girls were able to learn a lot from this first match, and I appreciate their willingness to learn. I look forward to continuing to get better throughout the season.” The Dogs will host Jennings County on Wednesday afternoon for their second dual match.
