April 24, 2025 - North’s pitchers and defense allowed Floyd Central only four hits, one walk, and one run on Wednesday night. Normally that’s enough to earn a victory. However, the Bull Dogs could only muster three hits themselves and fell 1-0 to the Highlanders. Brock Kinter had two of the three Bull Dogs’ hits, including a double, with Jack Whaley collecting the third hit. Javier Uscanga got the start on the mound for the Dogs and went four strong innings. Uscanga allowed four hits, one run, and struck out two while walking none. Kintner tossed two innings, allowing no hits and striking out two while walking one. Lane Schrader was on the mound the final two innings, allowing no hits and no walks, while striking out three. The JV White team dropped a game at home to Bloomington South 9-2 on Wednesday evening as well. The two JV teams will be in action for a Saturday doubleheader with Roncalli, and the JV White will host Center Grove on Monday. The varsity team will have a few days off before a busy week. They will host Southport on Tuesday, travel to Seymour Thursday, host Cathedral Friday and have a home matchup with Terre Haute North next Saturday. Photo: Brock Kintner pitched two scoreless innings, had two of the Bull Dogs’ three hits, and had a center field assist at home plate in a 1-0 loss at Floyd Central on Wednesday evening, April 23.
