Baseball halts five-game losing streak with 5-1 victory over Franklin Central

April 23, 2025 - North’s baseball team snapped a five-game losing streak with a solid 5-1 victory over the Flashes of Franklin Central on Tuesday evening at Southside Elementary diamonds. Jesse Clark was 3-for-3 and Brock Kintner had a pair of hits, including a double, to lead the Bull Dogs attack. They each tallied a pair of RBI. Franko Ortega got the win for the Bull Dogs (4-6), pitching four innings and allowing just two hits and one run. Ortega struck out five and walked three in his outing. Dillon Long came on in relief to begin the fifth inning. Long gave up no hits, no walks, and struck out one in three innings of work. The JV team fell 9-4 to drop to 3-3 for the season. The varsity team will be back on the diamond this evening at Floyd Central in a game originally scheduled for Friday, April 25.
