Softball rolls over Bloomington North in Conference Indiana opener

April 23, 2025 - After a convincing road victory at Columbus East on Monday, the Bull Dogs were back on the softball diamond on Tuesday afternoon as they opened their Conference Indiana season with a 15-2 victory over Bloomington North. Payton Morris had four hits, including a home run, and four RBI to lead the Bull Dogs (5-4) offense. Lily Retz also homered for the Dogs. Miley McClellan had a pair of hits, including a double, and Retz tallied three RBI in the victory. Morris also led the Bull Dogs defense from the pitcher’s circle. She gave up two runs (one earned) on just three hits, while striking out eight and walking just one in her five innings of work. The Cougars took the JV game 11-7 as the Dogs dropped to 2-3-1 for the season. The Dogs will travel to Southport on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 6:00 pm.
