October 4, 2026 - Columbus North had a 10 point lead with five minutes to play, but Brebeuf rallied and scored with just four seconds remaining on the clock to steal a 32-29 victory and drop the Dogs to 3-4 for the season. Senior quarterback Max Wilson was 15-for-24 for 203 yards and two touchdowns, and Ashton Schwarz rushed for 62 yards on 29 carries to lead the North offense. Cohen Long had seven receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown for North. Columbus North held the ball for 30 of the 48 minutes, but it wasn’t enough as the Braves drove 97 yards in the final 55 seconds for a score to grab the victory. Brebeuf did not have a JV or freshman team, so the freshmen played Cathedral on Saturday morning and fell 28–0. North will travel to Class 4A top-ranked East Central (6-1) on Friday, October 9. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm to allow for the travel time from Columbus. The Bull Dogs will host both the JV and the freshman games Saturday morning, beginning at 10:00 am.
