September 26, 2026 - Head cross county coach Rick Sluder gave his top runners the morning off to prepare for next weekend’s Nike Valley Twilight in Terre Haute, but the Dogs’ depth showed as they still won both the boys and girls divisions of the Jasper Invitational on Saturday, September 26. In the girls race, Tristan Works, Abi Megel, Anniston Spartz, and Kylie Brinksneader finished second through fifth individually as the Dogs scored only 26 teams points to distance themselves from second place Evansville Mater Dei, who had 55 points. In the boys division, Garrett Perfetto, Jackson Schneider, Jonathan Hatton, Cole DeVreese, and James Stofel finished in seventh through eleventh place individually to earn the team title with 45 points. Evansville Memorial was second with 67 points. Next Saturday’s Nike Valley Twilight will begin at 5:00 pm in Terre Haute.
