September 24, 2026 - Columbus North girls soccer had a number of chances and controlled the ball throughout a rainy first half at Bloomington North on Wednesday evening, but the scoreboard showed 0-0 at the halftime break. The Bull Dogs scored two goals in the second half and came home with a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. Evelyn Lopez drove one in from 40 yards with just over 28 minutes to play to put the Dogs on the board. Then, with 19 minutes remaining, Avery Baker scored off of a pass from Estefany Lopez, giving the Dogs a 2-0 lead, which would hold the remainder of the match. North won the JV match 4-0 as the JV (Blue) squad improved to 10-2 for the season. The Dogs got goals from Alannah Johnson, Lyla Rager, Kai Calas, and Delila Priest Owens, with assists from Ruby Medley and Jacklyn Bunch. The Bull Dogs will travel to Batesville on Tuesday, September 29, with the JV match scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
