Luccas Peda had a second half hat trick at Bloomington North on Tuesday, September 8. The Dogs beat the Cougars 6-1 to improve to 4-0-3 for the season.

September 9, 2026 - Heading into their match at Bloomington North Tuesday, the Columbus North boys soccer team had only scored eight goals in six matches. However, stellar defense had led them to a 3-0-3 record, having given up only five goals. The Dogs’ offense was clicking against the Cougars in a 6-1 victory, improving their record to 4-0-3. After a scoreless first half, the Cougars took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick early in the second stanza. The rest of the match belonged to the Bull Dogs. Luccas Peda had three goals and an assist in the second half, Mathiang Kak, Ben Wiltrout, and Brody Johnson each had goals, and Aldo Espejel, Miguel Salomao, and Parker Gribbins each recorded assists. The JV team improved to 3-2-1 with a 4-0 victory in the early match. North will host Carmel on Friday evening at the BCSC Soccer Complex. JV will begin at 6:00, with varsity to follow.
