September 6, 2026 - Riley Sims and Lily Ryan had goals for the Columbus North girls soccer team, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a very talented Mt. Vernon team, who edged the Dogs 3-2. This was North’s first loss of the season, dropping them to 6-1-1. Danika Hoehn recorded three saves in 80 minutes in goal. North’s JV gave up their first goal, and loss, of the season, dropping a 2-1 decision to Mt. Vernon. The Bull Dogs will try to bounce back at home as they host Bishop Chatard on Tuesday, September 8 at 6:00 pm. The squad has labeled this match “Retro Night” and will have youth teams walk them out for introductions.
