Boys cross country dominates Crawford County Invitational. Girls second.

Justin Reckers finished second individually at the Crawford County Invitational on Saturday, August 29 to help the Bull Dogs to a first place team finish. The girls took second in their division.

August 30, 2026 - Columbus North cross country got to preview the Regional meet course this weekend, and they appeared to like what they see. The boys team scored just 36 points to dominate the 29-team field and took three of the top five positions individually. Justin Reckers took second in 15:44.5, with Graham Pumphrey third, and Levi Carothers fifth among 239 runners. In the girls division, Floyd Central scored 54 team points to edge the Dogs’ 59 points in the 27-team event. Adira Sluder took eighth individually in 19:19.2, followed by Kodi Smith in ninth, white Sydney Madden and Emma Lowther took eleventh and twelfth, respectively. Columbus North dominated both the boys and girls JV races as well, with Margo Cave winning the JV girls race, and Jonathan Hatton taking the top spot in the boys JV race. The Bull Dogs will host the Columbus North Classic on Saturday, September 5 at Cereland Park near Columbus.
