August 22, 2026 - Columbus North girls volleyball is now 6-2 for the season after a loss and a victory at the Franklin Central Invitational on Saturday, August 22. The Dogs opened the tournament with a 3-1 loss (25-20, 15-25, 18-25, 16-25) to host Franklin Central, but rallied to beat Pendleton heights in straight sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-14) to finish the day 1-1. Tania Maldonado had 17 kills and Izabella Rice added 15 to pace the Dogs. Rori Pollert pounded home nine service aces, and Lexi Denny, Shelby Sharp, and Pollert each recorded 17 digs for the tournament. Sophie Rohls had three blocks and four block assists to lead North at the defensive net on Saturday, and Denny recorded 41 saves as North’s setter. The Dogs will host Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday, August 25, with the JV and freshmen matches starting at 6:00 pm.
