June 16, 2026 - Coach Troy Jobe was approved at the June 15 BCSC school board meeting as the next boys and girls swim and dive coach at Columbus North, replacing Mike Cunningham who resigned following the 2025-26 season. Jobe comes to North from Meade County High School in Bradenburg, Kentucky, where he has been the head coach since 2021. During his stint at Meade, Jobe’s program produced three regional titles and 102 state qualifiers, including six state finalists. He was named KHSAA Region 3 Coach of the year four times. Coach Jobe expressed excitement about joining Bull Dog Nation. “Columbus North has a rich tradition of quality swimming, and there is a lot of opportunity here to build a quality program. I’m really excited to see what the next chapter will be at Columbus North,” he explained. Jobe spent eight years in the United States Coast Guard from 2014-2022 and graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a Bachelor of Science in 2026. He has been admitted to the same university’s Master’s program in Organizational Leadership. “Coach Jobe will be a great addition to our athletic department,” according to athletic director Brian Lewis. “Troy brings experience running a club and a high school team with success. I’m excited for him to bring his own style of leadership, commitment, and excitement to North High School.” Donner Swim Club has also hired Jobe to head their program in addition to his role as head boys and girls swim coach at Columbus North. Jobe and his family will relocate to Columbus this month and will begin working with Donner and Columbus North shortly thereafter. Jobe and wife Jessica, who has accepted a teaching position at Parkside elementary have two children, son Benjamin, age nine, and daughter Lexie, age four. Both will attend Parkside this fall. Bull Dog Nation welcomes Coach Troy Jobe and wishes him all the best as he begins his work with North’s swim programs.
