May 24, 2026 - The Bull Dogs baseball team dodge raindrops Friday evening and edged Decatur Central 4-3 to earn their fourth consecutive victory and close the regular season with a 16-11 record. Jayden Adorno got the start on the mound for the Dogs and tossed five solid innings. He allowed just two runs (one earned), while giving up just two hits and striking out seven. Franko Ortega threw the final two innings, allowing one run on two hits, while tallying three strikeouts. Macario Mendez had a pair of hits for the Bull Dogs, one of which scored Brock Kintner in the bottom of the first inning. Daiju Iwaya had a pair of hits, an RBI, and scored once. Sam Perry led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a double into the left field corner, and came in to score the fourth run for the Dogs. North will face Whiteland (8-15-1) in the first round of the Columbus North Sectional on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00 pm. The winner will face Franklin Community on Friday, May 29 at 8:00 pm.
