North boys volleyball season ends in sectional semifinals

May 18, 2026 - The Columbus North boys volleyball season ended with a 3-0 (18-25, 22-25, 26-28) loss to Greenwood in the semifinals of the Franklin Community Sectional on Saturday afternoon. The Dogs loss dropped them to 15-15 for the season, but North won nine of the final twelve matches of the season, so first year head coach Austin Tafoya has the program headed in the right direction. Statistical leaders in the Greenwood match for the Bull Dogs included Kills: Justin Lopez 11, Noah Dornfeld 9 Assists: Ramu Alagappan 26 Service aces: Aniket Ghatge and Dornfeld each with one Digs: Ethan Santos-Villasenor 7, Alagappan 6 Blocks: Dornfeld (4 solo, 5 assists), Sawyer Patterson (2 solo, 2 assists) The Dogs will say goodbye to twelve graduating seniors from the 2026 squad.
