May 15, 2026 - Columbus North advanced in the Franklin boys volleyball sectional to face Greenwood in the semifinals Saturday after a 3-2 victory over Greenwood Christian Academy on Thursday evening. The two teams alternated set victories throughout the contest, with the Dogs winning the fifth set tiebreaker. North won sets one (25-23), three (25-18), and five (15-13), with Greenwood Christian winning sets two (28-26) and four (25-23). Statistical leaders for the Bull Dogs (15-14) included: Kills: Justin Lopez (22), Anyu Gong (16), Jake Roeder (13) Assists: Ramu Alagappan (48) Service aces: Lopez (5) Digs: Aniket Ghatge (7), Ethan Santos-Villasenor (6) Blocks: Sawyer Patterson (4 solo, 4 assisted), Gong (4 assisted), Noah Dornfeld (2 solo, 2 assisted) The Bull Dogs will face Greenwood at 12:30 Saturday afternoon at Franklin Community High School in the sectional semifinals. The Woodmen advanced by beating Columbus East Thursday night 3-2.
