May 13, 2026 - The Bull Dogs suffered their first Conference Indiana loss of the season in girls softball on Tuesday night at the hands of Bloomington South. The Panthers edged the Dogs 6-3, dropping North to 2-1 in conference play. Morgan Jarvis and Bailee Scruggs each had two hits for the game and Jarvis scored twice as the Dogs (8-13, 2-1) jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one inning before the Panthers rallied to score the next six runs. North tried to make a late-inning run with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth, but it was too little, too late for the Bull Dogs. Scruggs and Payton Morris shared the pitching duties, combining for six runs allowed (three earned) on nine hits, while striking out six and walking three. North will continue a busy week when they travel to Terre Haute North for a makeup game on Friday night and then host a double header with Terre Haute South and North Harrison on Saturday.
