Girls tennis edges Providence 3-2

May 13, 2026 - Bull Dogs girls tennis won their fourth consecutive match on Tuesday at Providence, edging the Pioneers 3-2. North lost the first two matches, but rallied to win the final three and earn the victory. Molly Richards dropped her two singles match 1-6, 0-6, and Priyanka Nair fell 2-6, 0-6 in three singles before Valeria Cortes put the Dogs on the board with a 6-4, 6-0 victory in one singles. The one doubles team of Isa Pan and Nino Akhalaya evened the match 2-2 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory, and Dhish Vudathaneni and Grace Merritt teamed up in two doubles to clinch the match with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory. The Dogs will compete in the North Central Invitational on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 9:00 am.
