April 26, 2026 - Columbus North beat Elder High School from Cincinnati 4-1 on Saturday, April 25, capping off a 4-0 week for the Dogs. North scored all four runs in the bottom of the second inning, beginning with Sam Perry’s sacrifice fly to left field that scored Isaac Genth, who led off the inning with a single, from third base. Macario Mendez then knocked in three runners (Dillon Long, Franko Ortega, and Daiju Iwaya) with a bases clearing two-out double. The Panthers put one run on the board in the seventh inning, but it wasn’t enough to top the Dogs, who improved to 8-6 for the season. Long got the start for North and had a rock solid outing. He tossed six innings, allowed just one run on five hits while striking out four and walking just one. Brock Kintner came on in relief in the seventh inning and closed out the game with no runs on no hits, striking out one and walking one. Eight different Bull Dogs recorded hits for the game, and North committed no defensive errors. The JV White team fell at Roncalli 6-3 on Saturday and will play at Center Grove on Monday afternoon at 6:00. The JV Blue team will host the Trojans on Wednesday evening at 6:00. After a well-earned few days off for the varsity team, they will host Seymour on Thursday at 6:00 pm.
