Jack Whaley had two RBI and scored two runs as the Bull Dogs beat Batesville 10-6 on Tuesday evening, April 14.

April 15, 2026 - Columbus North baseball jumped out to a 10-2 lead over Batesville on Tuesday evening at the Southside diamonds, but Batesville scored a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth to make the game interesting. However, the Dogs shut out the visiting team over the last two innings to preserve a 10-6 victory and improve to 4-5 for the season. Macario Mendez, Jack Whaley, and Ashton Schwartz each had two RBI as nine different players recorded hits for North. Brock Kintner and Whaley each scored twice in the victory. Daiju Iwaya got the start on the mound for North. He struck out four and walked just one, allowing six runs on six hits in 4-⅔ innings of work. Bryson Satterfield pitched the remainder of the game, allowing no runs on three hits, while striking out one. The Bull Dogs will have their first Conference Indiana game when they host Bloomington North on Thursday, April 16. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm. The JV game against the Cougars that was scheduled to be played the same night has been canceled since the teams played on April 9.
