April 14, 2026 - The Bull Dogs have played more than their fair share of extra inning softball games this spring, including a 7-6 ten-inning loss at Whiteland Monday evening. The Dogs fell behind 5-2 after two innings, but rallied to take a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Warriors scored one in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and then one in the bottom of the tenth to win 7-6. Bailee Scruggs tossed eight innings, allowing six runs on six hits with eleven strikeouts and two walks. Payton Morris came on in relief in the ninth and allowed a run on four hits. Morgan Jarvis and Scruggs each had two hits, including a double for each of them, as the Dogs pounded out ten hits for the game. Jarvis and Scruggs also each had two RBI in the loss. Lyla Deweese and Vada Riegle each scored twice for the Dogs (5-5). The Bull Dogs will host Edgewood for a varsity-JV doubleheader on Thursday evening. First pitch of the varsity game is scheduled for 5:30 pm at the Southside diamonds.
