Jesse Clark had a single, a walk, and an RBI in a 9-2 loss at Jeffersonville on Wednesday evening, April 8.

April 9, 2026 - Playing their fifth game in five days, the Columbus North baseball team traveled to Jeffersonville on Wednesday evening. The Dogs could only muster two hits for the game and committed six defensive errors, leading to a 9-2 loss. Jesse Clark and Daiju Iwaya each had singles, but the offense just could not get going against the Red Devils. RBI were credited to Clark and Dillon Long. North tallied four walks and struck out five times. Franko Ortega got the pitching start for the Bull Dogs and allowed five runs. However, none of his runs were earned and he allowed only one official hit. He walked three and struck out three in his two innings of work. Bryson Satterfield tossed the final four innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits, while striking out five and walking just one. The Bull Dogs (3-4) have earned some much-needed time off and will be back on the diamond on Tuesday, April 14 when they host Batesville for a varsity-only contest. The JV team played at Shelbyville Wednesday night, but no score was reported. They will travel to Bloomington North this evening (6:00 start) and to Center Grove Monday evening (6:30 start).
