Golf team kicks off season

April 5, 2026 - The Columbus North boys golf team kicked off their season with the varsity team finishing third at the Edinburgh Lancer Invitational and the JV team placing ninth at the Seymour Invitational. Tyler Dillingham finished in a tie for sixth individually with a 77 at Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh, leading the varsity Dogs to a team score of 321, good enough for third place. Batesville claimed the team title, shooting a tournament best 309. Other individual scores for the Bull Dogs included Reid Perry (80), Owen Sullivan (81), Keaton Russell (83), and Ryder Allman (87). While the varsity team was at Timbergate, the JV squad was a few miles south at Shadowwood Golf Course finishing ninth in the Seymour Invitational, among a field of primarily varsity teams. The Bull Dogs shot a team score of 384, led by Briar Selby’s 90. Michael Larson shot 93, Elijah Clark carded 100, Bronson Newman recorded 101, and Nolan Sparkman totaled 102 for North. Bloomington South won the team title, shooting 303. North will travel to Brownstown for a dual meet on Tuesday, May 7, beginning at 5:00 pm.
