March 22, 2026 - New head boys volleyball coach Austin Tafoya didn’t inherit a roster full of returning players, but he was certainly given a challenging schedule as he began his tenure at the Carmel Invitational on Saturday, March 21. The Dogs fell in all four matches, but were competitive in all four and showed glimpses of great play throughout the tournament. The Dogs lost to Zionsville to begin the tournament (20-25, 10-25) and then fell to Monrovia in the second round (22-25, 23-25). In the afternoon rounds, the Bull Dogs dropped matches to New Palestine (19-25, 21-25) and lost to Illian Christian in a three-set thriller (23-25, 25-22, 12-15). Senior Leo Iorio led the team in kills for the tournament and Gian Alverez topped the team in assists. The Dogs will open their home schedule on Monday, March 23 as they will host Greenwood. JV is scheduled to begin at 6:00 with varsity to follow.
