March 7, 2026 - Columbus North senior point guard Caleb Ferguson picked up three fouls early in the first half, forcing him to sit for the remainder of the half, and helping Columbus East build a 24-20 lead at halftime. However, Ferguson returned after the break and the Bull Dogs took over. The Dogs outscored the Olympians 19-4 in the third quarter and held on for a 55-43 victory in the Columbus North sectional boys basketball tournament. Ferguson finished with a game-high 21 points, and Jack Whaley added ten points and eight rebounds, as North improved to 13-10 for the season and will face Whiteland for the sectional title on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm. The Warriors earned a berth in the sectional championship game with a 58-50 victory over Franklin Community in the second semifinal game.
