January 7, 2026 - Fifteenth ranked Columbus North girls basketball improved to 14-3 for the season and collected their seventh victory in eight games with a 53-25 victory at Whiteland on Tuesday evening. The Bull Dogs jumped out to a 16-5 advantage after the first quarter and never looked back. Balanced scoring, once again, proved to be the winning recipe for North as ten different Bull Dogs found their way into the scoring column. Miley McClellan tallied twelve points, with Kaylie Harmon and Avery Johnson chipping in eleven and ten, respectively. The Dogs buried five three-point goals, three by Harmon and stretched the lead to 30 points in the second half. The JV squad, who looked rusty at times having not played since December 23, cruised to a 41-19 victory in the early game. Bella Kintner had ten and Stella Thompson added nine as the Dogs improved to 13-1 for the season. North will host Bloomington South on Saturday in a game that will likely determine the Conference Indiana title. The Panthers are 13-3 overall and 4-0 in Conference Indiana, while the Bull Dogs are 3-0 in conference play with both Bloomington schools yet to play. The JV game will tip off at 1:00 pm, with the varsity to follow around 2:30. Photo: Miley McClellan powers in two of her team-high twelve points in a 53-25 victory at Whiteland on Tuesday, January 6.
