December 18, 2025 - The Bull Dogs hosted the annual cross-town wrestling dual on Wednesday evening in Memorial Gymnasium and the Olympians came out on top of both the girls divisions (60-6) and the boys (57-15). The night started with youth matches from the local youth wrestling clubs. In the girls division, Nitya Hurli earned the Dog’s only victory with a pin in her match. Limited roster numbers forced the Bull Dogs to forfeit a number of weight class matches. The Bull Dog boys got its first match victory at 113 pounds with James Brown (shown) earning a 10-3 victory. Harper Hardeback claimed a first period pin at 138 for North, and Asher Ratliff got a pin at 165 pounds. East won all other weight classes as well as ten of eleven JV matches. Both squads will be back on the mat Saturday, December 20. The girls will compete at the Conference Indiana championships, while the boys will travel to New Albany (JV) and Crown Point (varsity) for invitationals.
