December 14, 2025 - The Columbus North girls basketball team were not able to play at East Central on Thursday night, but both teams had opening on their schedules for Friday night, so the Dogs packed the bus and headed to meet the Trojans a day later. Unfortunately for the Dogs, East Central sent them home with a 55-49 loss. Kaylie Harmon had eleven points and four steals, Avery Johnson added ten points, and Kenna Conrad chipped in nine points and ten rebounds as the Dogs dropped their second straight game after winning their first seven contests. North’s shooting woes carried over from their Brownsburg loss earlier in the week as they were only able to muster 19-of-55 from the field, including just 5-of-22 from the three-point line. The Dogs committed 14 turnovers for the game and held a slim 34-33 rebound advantage over the Trojans. The JV got back on track after their season’s only loss at Brownsburg with a 34-30 victory over East Central in the early game. The Dogs got nine points each from Bella Kintner and Stella Thompson. North will play three games this week, all at home, beginning with a non-conference matchup with the Owls of Seymour on Tuesday evening. The JV will tip off at 6:00 pm in Memorial Gymnasium.
