Columbus North, East Central tie 0-0 in girls soccer

                COLUMBUS, Ind. – Senior Liz Tynan made seven saves in the net, posting a shutout and helping the Columbus North girls soccer team to a scoreless draw with East Central at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex.

                The Trojans put seven shots on goal to just three for the Bull Dogs, all turned away by East Central goalkeeper Jessica Shipman.

                The Bull Dogs are now 7-2-2.

                In the JV game, freshman Samantha Crossman scored for CN but the hosts dropped a 3-1 decision. Eva Grimm found the net twice and Allie Davis tallied once for the Trojans. Sophomore Kaylyn Bates made 12 saves in the net for the Bull Dogs (2-7-1).

                Columbus North returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 23) when it hosts Perry Meridian in the makeup of a rainout from Sept. 13. The JV game begins at 10 a.m., and the varsity follows about 11:30 a.m.
